The primary goal of Education should be to teach students how to independently learn. It should develop autonomous, thinking Individuals. Students need1:
- “I” → Self-Directed Learning2 — autonomy & self-mastery
- Prioritizing, exploring, researching, synthesizing, generating, inner-transformation3
- “It” → Critical Thinking — rational judgement
- Analyzing, logical reasoning, modeling
- “We” → Interpersonal Fluency — the full art of understanding & reaching people
- Rhetoric (reaching people through language) & Relationships (cultural and personal)
- “Its” → Systems Thinking — understanding & shaping interdependence
- Modeling complex systems/structure & second-order feedback/consequences
